POSITION: Computer Technician/NMCI POC

JOB DESCRIPTION and QUALIFICATIONS:
Research and Engineering Development, LLC, in support of the Human Systems Engineering Department (HSED), Naval Air Systems Command located in Patuxent River, Maryland, is seeking an immediate fill for a Computer Technician/NMCI POC to provide technical support to HSED at Patuxent River, MD. Duties include coordinating the On-Boarding and Off-Boarding of Military, Civilian and Contractor employees with regard to the HSED policies and procedures. Submits NMCI service desk tickets, NHDSM service requests, and MAC requests in NET. Provides technical support for end user device hardware, software, and wireless technologies, and peripherals. elevates end user problems to the CTR Team as required and needed. Resolves end user IT hardware and software related issues that do not require NMCI help desk involvement. Manages the SharePoint site as the Site Owner to approve and decline permissions for user access as required. Maintains employee and seat order data within the NET database including creating profiles for new employees, ordering new seats, transferring assets, and terminating seats as required. Maintains local records, spreadsheets, and databases of MAO data to effectively support NMCI users. Provides end users with updates and compliance statuses. Assists end users with data backups using sycovery, external hard drives and OneDrive. Attends meetings, specifically the bi-weekly NMCI drumbeat, to remain informed on NMCI implementation of policies and procedures. Works directly with the ACTR’s and the CTR Teams. Orders, sets up and configures new end user equipment including laptops, mobile devices, printers, copiers, VTC systems, digital and analog telephones and various other peripherals. Schedules and coordinates with field services to provide customer desk side support.
The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 3-5 years of Computer Technology experience. Candidates should have experience with NMCI, NHDSM, MAC and NET framework, Computer Networking, Information Assurance, and have credentials to be considered. Applicants must possess, at a minimum, a secret level security clearance.
